Your role and responsibilities
As the Process Automation Regional Category Specialist (Sweden), you are responsible for developing the executing a pipeline of high value strategic initiatives in the country. Based on your deep subject matter expertise in the area of procurement, you are proactively identifying opportunities to deliver the overall Category performance, savings targets, and manage the local tools. The job role requires actively engaging and partnering with senior Business stakeholders, Operations and Business Procurement/Finance.
Thanks to your strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills, you ensure stakeholder alignment and support to deliver exceptional value through the implementation of Category Strategies and initiatives. You further establish effective working relationships with local and regional procurement to ensure alignment and the full realization of the benefits of the Category Strategy.


Main Accountabilities
The objective of this position is to leverage the purchasing power of ABB on a global and regional level and to achieve the set performance targets for the country:
Accountable for the creation and application of a Business-aligned long-term Strategy for Sweden in collaboration with the EMEA Category Managers and the development of an annual pipeline of strategic category initiatives.
Working in close collaboration with the sites on the continuous improvement of our Integrated Supply Chain Solutions program and the related RACI/business process to translate them into clear, practical guidance for key Procurement and functional colleagues in the EL sites.
Understanding business priorities and challenges and ensuring successful realization of the Country Strategy by building strong partnerships across all stakeholders. Also being able to act with diverse cultural backgrounds.
Ensuring a robust approach to supplier management, establishing value creation targets and reporting of supplier performance, developing innovation programs, managing supplier risks and conducting regular business reviews.
Proactively driving/supporting demand management to reduce our overall external spend with third parties and create a true EBITDA impact – e.g. the implementation of vending machines or implementation of modern tool crib design.
Support the roll out of catalogues and to ensure a high level of hands-free ordering and a reduction of tactical sourcing to the minimum in the countries using SAP Ariba or alternative ERP solutions.
Ensuring full control on supplier and material master data to allow for sourcing automation and running RfQs/eAuctions in SAP Ariba.
Ensuring full control on all the local tools.



Qualifications for the role
University degree, with business or engineering degree preferable.
5+ years of in-depth strategic and/or operational procurement experience or equivalent extensive experience working in the category for which the role is intended to support.
Excellent communication and project management skills with an ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams and deliver complex strategic initiatives, in a truly global, fluid, interactive environment.
Proven financial and business acumen and capability in negotiation, change management and stakeholder management.
Business level fluency in English and Swedish.
Strong result-orientation.

We are looking for a Procurement Business Partner / Category Manager responsible for categories within indirect material and services procurement. You will be part of a small team responsible for indirect material and service procurement within ABB Robotics. Our primary focus is Sweden but we are working in a global team. Negotiate agreements based on corporate contractual framework with suppliers, periodically renew price lists, terms and conditions.
Work with process improvements and system implementations, utilizing digital tools to make it easy to buy and always ensure transparency and compliance.

Your background
University degree in Engineering or Economics (minimum Bachelor´s degree) and at least 3-5 years of working experience within procurement. Experience from working with indirect procurement is beneficial.

Ability to develop sourcing strategies, the skill and motivation to do the hands-on sourcing, run negotiations and manage contracting.
Analytical and result-oriented and have a structured approach solving problems and delivering to target.
Curious and quick to learn new things enabling you to handle a broad range of indirect material and service categories throughout the company and capture demand and requirements from many stakeholders.
Strong communication skills (written and spoken) and the ability to create commitment with stakeholders in all levels of the organization.
Fluent in Swedish and English, written and spoken.

Your Role and Responsibilities
Are you a hands-on leader who thrives on turning ideas into action? We're looking for a proactive and driven Team Lead to guide our Research & Development (R&D) team within the Product Line Traction Motors. In this role, you won’t just manage — you’ll make things happen.
You’ll be at the heart of our global R&D efforts, coaching and developing a talented team to meet ambitious targets. Your day-to-day will involve coordinating R&D activities to ensure they align with business needs, while actively contributing to technology development, platform strategy, and Intellectual Property management.
You’ll collaborate closely with Product Line Management globally, Product Management, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams across Sweden and China. Reporting directly to the Global Head of R&D for the Traction Division, you’ll be a key player in shaping the future of our traction motor products.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Hiring, professional development, and leading a team of 12 R&D engineers in Sweden
Coordinating plans for capacity, people, and resources for R&D projects in Sweden and China
Overseeing efficient, timely and quality execution over the projects
Developing and acquiring competencies, tools, and infrastructure that will be needed for the development of products.
Serving as a technical resource for the team and providing technical support for internal and external contacts.
Supervising and ensuring a safe work environment

Qualifications for the Role
To succeed in this role, we believe you have:
Extensive experience in development of electrical machines, preferably for railway or off-road vehicle applications
A demonstrated strong leadership and communication skills for projects, people, and stakeholders in a multi-cultural environment
A degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or a relevant technical field.
Sound knowledge of design engineering, simulation, CAD, PLM and ERP tools related to electrical machines
A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn about new technologies and methods
Proficiency in English, written and spoken

We find it valuable if you have:
Knowledge of industry standards and development processes relevant to railway and e-mobility applications
Previous experience in line management or portfolio responsibility, including managing large projects
Hands-on experience with permanent magnet motors
