Join ABB Force Measurement, a global leader delivering advanced solutions to the metals and paper industries. As part of our Tools Team within the Project Management Office, you will play a key role in driving digitalization and automation initiatives that support our engineering and business processes.

You will ideally bring:
A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field.
Experience in project management and/or digitalization, automation, or engineering system initiatives.
Good understanding of Agile and Waterfall project delivery methodologies.
Experience working with ERP systems (such as SAP) or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM/PDM) tools; knowledge of Siemens NX is an advantage.

Qualifications for the Role
A Master's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a relevant technical field; a PhD is considered as a merit
10+ years of experience in industrial R&D environments, with proven ability to translate technology trends into actionable R&D strategies and roadmaps
Extensive hands-on experience in the development of electrical machines, preferably for railway or off-highway vehicle applications, including permanent magnet motors
Deep knowledge of design, engineering, simulation, CAD, PLM, and ERP tools related to electrical machines
Demonstrated leadership experience, including line management, people development, portfolio responsibility, and managing large-scale, complex projects
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate and influence across all levels of the organization

I rollen kommer du att:
Planera och styra kvaliteten i projekt genom att ta fram kvalitetsplaner, kontrollpunkter och riskbedömningar.
Granska och verifiera teknisk dokumentation såsom ritningar, specifikationer, testprotokoll och certifikat.
Följa upp leverantörskvalitet och delta i FAT samt säkerställa att produkter följer ITP:er och standarder.
Utföra inspektioner och verifieringar av el- och automationsinstallationer, funktionstester och loop-checks.
Hantera avvikelser genom NCR-uppföljning, rotorsaksanalyser och kontroll av korrigerande åtgärder.
Sammanställa kvalitetsdokumentation inför slutbesiktning och överlämning till kund.
Rapportera kvalitetsstatus i projektmöten och stödja projektledare med kundunderlag.
Bidra till förbättringsarbete genom att identifiera trender och föreslå processförbättringar. Dessutom kommer du att vara delaktig i att vidareutveckla QC-funktionen hos oss.

Din bakgrund
Vi söker dig som har en stark teknisk grund och ett genuint kvalitetsfokus. För att lyckas i rollen tror vi att du har:
Civil- eller högskoleingenjörsutbildning inom elektroteknik, automation eller motsvarande.
Minst 5 års erfarenhet av el/automation i industriprojekt.
Erfarenhet av kvalitetssäkring, inspektioner eller kommissionering.
God förståelse för el- och automationssystem såsom PLC, SCADA, instrumentering, ställverk och VSD.
Kunskap om relevanta standarder (IEC, SS?EN, ATEX, SIL).
Vana vid teknisk dokumentation och ritningsläsning.
Goda kunskaper i svenska och engelska i tal och skrift.

Defining and maintaining CM, branch, and release strategies, covering version management, packaging, and distribution across product releases.
Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and the underlying infrastructure that keeps software delivery reliable, scalable, and secure.
Automating operational and build tasks, and continuously improving our CM and DevOps tooling and ways of working.
Monitoring system health and supporting environments, working closely with developers to improve performance and resolve issues.
Championing security, compliance, and clear documentation across our environments and pipelines.
Acting as a technical point of contact within R&D and sharing knowledge across the global CM and DevOps community at ABB.

Qualifications for the role:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
Several years of experience in DevOps and/or software CM, with a genuine interest in both disciplines.
Hands-on skills in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash) and comfort with containerization and cloud platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure.
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Azure DevOps, and working with Git-based version control.
A solid grasp of CM and change management practices, including branch and release strategies, with exposure to tooling such as Ansible or Terraform.
Strong collaboration and communication skills, an Agile mindset, and a proactive, ownership-driven approach to problem-solving.
Experience from industrial automation, safety-critical product development (e.g., to IEC 61508), or large-scale distributed systems is a plus.

This Position reports to: R&D Global Unit Lead
In this role, you will lead the acceleration of R&D's adoption of Artificial Intelligence to improve efficiency, quality, and speed across engineering processes. You will enable AI integration in software and hardware design, verification & validation, and reporting—turning innovative concepts into everyday engineering practice. Your mission is to ensure scalable, sustainable adoption across all R&D workflows. As a central enabler and connector, you will operate in a highly collaborative global environment, working closely with multiple R&D sites, functions, and disciplines. You will drive alignment and consistency across our worldwide organization, helping to redefine processes, tools, and ways of working.

This is a global role; the preferred locations are Sweden, China, Germany, India or Spain.
Your responsibilities:
Own and execute the global R&D AI/tooling roadmap, translating high-impact AI opportunities across software, hardware, testing, and reporting into scalable engineering capabilities
Drive adoption across all global sites, embedding AI into engineering workflows, tools, processes, and standards with measurable business impact
Build the cross-site operating model for AI by connecting engineers, process owners, and tool experts to share knowledge, reuse solutions, establish best practices, and accelerate progress globally
Establish governance frameworks and metrics to track AI adoption, impact on engineering efficiency, and quality improvements across R&D
Lead organizational change and adoption readiness initiatives, ensuring smooth transition to AI-enabled ways of working and addressing stakeholder needs across cultures and functions

Qualifications for the role
Master's or Bachelor's degree in engineering (or equivalent), with 5+ years in transformation or process improvement roles within R&D or engineering environments
Knowledge of AI technologies, including LLM agent-based and autonomous tools, with programming skills in Python, Java, or C++ considered a strong advantage
Proven experience introducing new ways of working, digital tools, and continuous improvement initiatives at scale — with solid knowledge of digital engineering ecosystems such as DevOps, CAD, and PLM
Demonstrated effectiveness in global, multicultural, cross-site environments with strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Analytical mindset focused on delivering measurable business outcomes, with the ability to connect strategy to day-to-day engineering practice

Vi på ABB Electrification söker nu en engagerad Anbudsingenjör till en nyckelroll i vår organisation för att växa våra affärer inom reläskyddsapplikationer! I den här rollen kommer du att jobba med säljorganisationen och våra kunder där du ansvarar för att fastställa de mest tekniskt lämpliga och kostnadseffektiva lösningarna för modernisering och underhåll av reläskyddsprodukter och -system. Du ansvarar för att ta fram teknisk lösning från förfrågningsunderlag till färdiga förslag i anbud till våra kunder för modernisering av reläskydd och -system. Tillsammans med projektledare och konstruktör paketerar och stödjer du projektleveransen så att den uppfyller avtalad affär, kundernas behov, gällande standarder och ger förutsättningar för effektivt utförande.
Vi söker dig som har erfarenhet från elkraftsbranschen och reläskyddsapplikationer specifikt, gillar problemlösning, är ansvarstagande samt mån om struktur och kvalitet i leveranser. Har du även erfarenhet av elkonstruktion eller att jobba praktiskt med ställverk och reläskyddsprodukter som t.ex. servicetekniker eller idrifttagare är det en merit. Tjänsten är med fördel placerad i Västerås men andra orter beaktas.
Ansvarsområden:
Du tar ansvar som tekniskt kunnig inom ditt produktområde och stödjer våra serviceingenjörer såväl som våra kunder vid komplexa frågor inom reläskyddsapplikationer.
Du fungerar som talesperson gentemot fabriker när det gäller lokal utveckling och anpassning av serviceerbjudandet för lågspänningsapplikationer.
Du skapar förutsättningar att växa vår volym och lönsamhet genom att delta vid produktpresentationer och stötta framtagning av till exempel marknadsmaterial, produktutbildningar och prislistor.
Arbetar självständigt men ingår i ett skickligt team och har omfattande kontakt med säljare, kunder, projektledare, konstruktörer och leverantörer. Du är engagerad, noggrann och gillar att arbeta mot uppsatta mål och deadlines.

Din bakgrund
Du har goda tekniska kunskaper inom elkraft som du anskaffat dig genom lång erfarenhet i likande roller eller praktiska erfarenhet som t.ex. servicetekniker. Meriterande är högskoleingenjörsexamen med inriktning elkraft.
Du har god teknisk förståelse för elsystemets uppbyggnad och dess produkter inom mellanspänning och reläskydd.
Du har kunskap om principer & praxis inom Elsäkerhet.
Du är serviceinriktad, samarbetsvillig, strukturerad och noggrann. Du är en innovativ person som har ett starkt driv för att komma fram till kvalitativa lösningar.
Du är relationsbyggande och har förmågan att kommunicera tydligt, både internt och till externa parter,

Key Responsibilities
Technical Expertise & Problem Solving: Serve as the primary reference for complex technical issues concerning ABB motor and other load starting, control, and protection products—especially manual motor starters, (mini) contactors, and overload relays. Assess and analyze technical issue cases, design and execute test scenarios, and run simulations to understand and resolve challenges effectively.
Content Development & Knowledge Sharing: Create and develop technical materials such as white papers, application notes, and training resources to enhance understanding of motor starting and protection solutions. Ensure all materials remain accessible and up to date in relevant portals and tools.
Presentations & Demonstrations: Prepare and deliver engaging technical presentations and demonstrations for internal teams and customers, addressing complex product and application topics with clarity and expertise.
Data Management & Accessibility: Ensure all relevant materials, documentation, and data related to motor starting and protection products are readily available in the appropriate portals and tools, enabling easy access and reference.

Qualifications for the Role
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related technical field.
Strong knowledge of electrical components used in motor starting, control, and protection (manual motor starters, contactors, overload relays, soft starters, relays).
Hands?on experience with common motor control applications and protection principles (over 3 years of experience is desired) .
Solid understanding of motor?related concepts such as selectivity, coordination, and relevant industrial standards (IEC 60947?1, 60947?2, IEC 60947?4?1 & 5?1, IEC 60077, EN 50155).
Proven ability to develop and deliver technical presentations to diverse audiences.
Experience providing technical support to customers, partners, or internal stakeholders.
Willingness to travel occasionally (less than 5%).
Experience working in agile environments is an advantage.
